great event manager for sakuracon. wish there was a way to hide events in the past since have to scroll too much.

It’s great! All the information is literally at your fingertips. Much easier than logging around a heavy catalog and also ecologically it saves a lot of trees! Go green!

Conferences try and use this and then you have to give your info so they can track you. Don’t bother doing this. What a waste of time and effort. You can tell an association or some state funded outfit created this useless app.

Shake to connect makes sense if you’re in person. The feature as implemented is very disruptive and anytime I move my phone, it goes to the Shake to Connect screen, asking for permissions and STOPPING the presentation. I should be able to disable this completely and that should be pretty simple to implement. Even if I’m at an event, I won’t be using this feature and I have a feeling it’s quite annoying and invasive to many people.

I just finished Anime Weekend Atlanta 2021 and this app was so incredibly helpful and I never had a problem with it. It was very easy to use and helped me connect with my new friends! Please use this for every convention thats how great it is!

Good app. A few improvements could help, like bing able to see larger pics (zoomed) of attendees or the ability to sort lists by other fields than the default.

Great organizational tool. Easy navigation the best ever. Super Virtual Conference.

Love the app and web version. It as intuitive to use. The my agenda section on the app was great. This was a great way to interact through technology.

Our Events Agency, Social ICON consistently partners with Socio for conferences and hybrid events. Their customer service is stellar and the features are incredible. They continue to grow and scale to meet needs of virtual clients. We also have used them for a live event pre-pandemic and it was really useful for attendees!

Very organized and yes still figuring it out BUT very user friendly. I’m using another APP for a fitness plan I’m am doing and it is awful. This one is lovely to use and also aesthetically pleasing to eyes. Great job!

Works well, has a lot of features. I just wish I could comment on the presentations as they were happening.

This is the first time I have used this app and I’m impressed with it. I like that you can find things in one place without having to carry the traditional thick note taker book.

Easy to use the app

Using the app was so nice because anytime there was a schedule change, it was automatically updated on the app. The event sent us push notifications for major changes too which was helpful!

I used Socio in an event in Los Angeles with my organization. It is really efficient and effective. Shake feature makes the process more fun and engaging. 👍🏻 However, I couldn't figure out how to change my profile picture. I use iPhone 8!!

This app was a tremendous addition to our event this year. I love having everything in one place and it is very slick! The games were fun too!

Downloaded it to access the agenda to my upcoming convention and it’s useless, freezes and crashes every couple of minutes.

Locking up continuously when scrolling through agenda or looking at details of events. I can’t get more than 30 seconds without having to force kill it and restart. Not worth the trouble. I’ll stick to a paper agenda.

This app is terrible! I’m using it for an event in an effort to go paperless. It looks so promising and efficient but the app freezes and crashes literally every minute. Tried reinstalling and same result. Completely useless.

Kind of a bummer because I like the agenda on my phone. Multiple crashes, restarts, and reloads. Screen becomes unresponsive.

It freezes every two screen changes. It’s impossible to use. I have to force quit and restart halfway through scrolling through a single agenda. This is really frustrating because my conference has put so much information, including documents, on here and it’s so hard to access them. My iPhone is fully up to date but this app has a fatal defect.

I always love when an event I attend is using Socio. So easy to connect with people. The team is great and very supportive.

I have used many apps at events before, and Socio was hands down the most superior. I will be using Socio for all of my events moving forward now!

Building on Socio for an event makes me say, for the price point, functions are much too limited and the team is unwilling to truly provide any help beyond telling you what you already know. (And with my background in CS, I know some of the small changes I asked for are completely reasonable.) At this point in time, I cannot recommend Socio as an app to choose for future events. With so many competitors for event apps, with better technical support, I highly advise everyone to steer away from Socio for now and choose another app.

I used Socio for a work conference and it was the best app I have used by far!

Very buggy on my iPhone. App showed two of every event, then lost all of my agenda choices and notes.

It was great to replace conference paper guide with a digital version that was always up to date with the information. I also loved connecting with new people during the conference.

Too many required questions to sign up. And it simply did not work for me. Could not find my event. Gave up using it. What crap coding! Whoever made this doesn’t believe in QA testing...

Networking events are for meeting new people via talking and exchanging information the old fashion way. I was at an event that encouraged the attendees to use this app to ‘connect’ with others via shaking their cell phones. That evening created an environment of attendees head down, looking at their phones. I don’t need to stare at my phone to find who is next to me, literally. I just need to keep my head up, eyes open, lips smiling and say “Hi, I’m _____ “. So what if I need to take 50 seconds to type in someone’s info. I can chat with him/her & continue the get-to-know-each-other process.

Great app for exchanging information. However needs an update that allows the user to change and delete some of their information such as photo, delete certain media accounts and fix their name (some ladies go through divorce). Please consider this as I would greatly appreciate it.
